Jersey Shore is a reality series on MTV that follows eight housemates put together their first season in the summers at the Jersey Shore, and the second in Miami Beach. The first season was filmed in August 2009 in a summer campaign in Seaside Heights, but was also filmed in other cities like Toms River, Neptune and Atlantic City, New Jersey.The show debuted in the midst of large amounts of controversy over the use of words"Guido / Guidette," representations of Italian-American stereotypes, and the control of the local population, because the cast members are not residents of the region.
